Prasanna Bishop - Saxophone

Prasanna is a well known saxophone player, bandleader and producer for the last 30 years. Coming from L.A. (where he had his own band) he settled in Boulder 18 years ago. Since then he has played in various Colorado locations and met and played with almost all the great musicians in Colorado.
Played with Hazel Miller (also her musical director), String Cheese Incident (played on and produced, "Born On the Wrong Planet").
Performances include the Boulder Central Park Band Shell, Fox Theater and Boulder Theater, all on many occasions, numerous surrounding area's clubs and events, including Winter Park Jazz Festival, Durango Jazz Festival, and Boulder and Denver sponsored concerts.
In 2004 he made the CD "Lights Out" with his band "The Bonner Party Jazz Quartet". Which was voted the CD of the month at FM KUVO Denver and is still in current rotation.
In Spring 2008 he played as a featured soloist along side jazz great, Richie Cole on his CD, "Mile High Madness".
Prasanna has worked on and often been central to a long string of musical projects, many of which become highly successful, and now presents his current project, "The Rocky Mountain Jazz Party".

Since starting playing drums in 1964, Charles Ayash has performed and recorded with saxophonist Richie Cole and pianist Joe Bonner, among others.
